EQAZ asks for your continued support in advocating for protection of transgender students from discrimination and harassment. The Trump administration has announced their intention to remove protection of trans students under Title IX, and instead make the treatment of transgender students an individual State's rights issue.
As a reminder, Title IX is the federal law that bans sex discrimination in schools. Under Title IX, transgender and gender nonconforming students are protected against bullying, harassment, and discrimination, including the right to use restrooms that match their gender identity, just like all other students.
