Roosevelt School Board to Tackle Bullies
The Republican majority Arizona State legislature doesn’t seem concerned about child safety at the schools. Despite Nicole Stanton’s tireless work to continue to introduce an anti-bullying bill and Senator Katie Hobbs support and sponsorship, the bill was assigned to three committees effectively killing it before it ever saw the light of day.
If we cannot have effective and dedicated leadership at the state level, then we must embrace it at the local city and school board level.
Tonight, Phoenix Mayor Greg Statnton and members of The Rise of South Phoenix will testify at the Roosevelt School Board meeting in support of passing a district-wide anti-bullying policy. Current Roosevelt School Board member Lawrence Robinson supports it. Do you?
These types of policies must be enacted to protect our children. The School Board members understand its importance, even if our legislature doesn’t.
Please join us in a show of support at tonight’s Roosevelt School Board meeting at 6600 South 7th Street in Phoenix – the Southwest corner of 7th Street and Southern.
A study session with guest speakers begins at 5:00 PM with the official board meeting and vote at 6:00 PM.
It takes only the courage of one to begin a path that will change our children’s future.
Please show your courage tonight with us as we begin to say to bullies that enough is enough.
