HB 2268 – sexual assault evidence; submission; reports

Introduced by Representative Maria Syms (R), LD 28

This bill specifies that a healthcare facility must release sexual assault kit evidence to law enforcement within twenty-four hours after administering the kit. Law enforcement then has five days to obtain the evidence from the facility and then fifteen days to submit it to a crime laboratory.
